Eighteen years of industrial fieldwork. These three jobs sum up the range of what ONIX fabricates and erects.

Storage tank

A 15,000-barrel tank fabricated and welded on site, with nondestructive testing on every joint.

The process

A storage tank is built where it will stand: floor, shell courses and roof are fitted and welded on site, and every joint is tested before the hydrostatic test.

Flare stack

A 60-meter flare stack erected: sections fabricated, lifted and aligned at height over a plant that stayed in operation.

The process

The stack is fabricated in sections and raised over a plant that keeps running: every splice is welded at height and inspected before the next section goes up.

Industrial steel buildings

Seven hundred and fifty tons of steel fabricated and erected: columns, trusses, purlins and roofing.

The process

Seven hundred and fifty tons are executed in stages: base plates leveled, frames plumbed and torqued, and the roof closed before the building is handed over.
